Silence falls for Armistice Day commemorations

Those who died in two world wars and other conflicts have been remembered on Armistice Day, in the UK and internationally.

Sir Keir Starmer was in France, the first British leader to attend the annual ceremony on the Champs-Élysées in Paris since Winston Churchill in 1944.

The commemorations came 24 hours after Remembrance Sunday, when King Charles, Prince William, veterans and politicians paid their respects at the Cenotaph in central London.
